Academy Canada’s Welding (also known as Welder) program is the perfect fit for you.
Welding students will learn various skills such as safety, blueprint reading, plasma arc cutting/gouging, fuel brazing, shielded metal arc welding, gas tungsten arc welding, flux-cored arc welding and fabrication as well as many others.
Career opportunities are available in shipyards, refineries, pulp and paper mills, construction firms, and fabrication ships.

While no classes will be held from August 7, 2025 to September 2, 2025 due to the Summer Break period, Academy Canada campuses are still open to help meet prospective, new, and existing student needs.

Deep Gulch Culvert Replacement Project Reminder
Corner Brook Campus students, staff, and instructors are reminded that Phase 3 of the Deep Gulch Culvert Replacement project will start on Tuesday, July 8, 2025.
University Drive will be closed to traffic from the O’Connell Drive/Mount Bernard Avenue intersection to the Canada Games Place/University Drive intersection.
However, students, staff, and instructors will have access to the Corner Brook Campus through Corporal Pinksen Memorial Drive and University Drive near the Arts and Culture Centre.
Please allow extra time to travel to the Corner Brook Campus.
